Observations
- Mississippi State has done a great job upgrading the depth of their department. From 2006-2010 their average rank was 113. Their average rank from 2011-2015 was 62. That's really good work by Byrne and Stricklin.
- Tennessee is the opposite. From 2006-2010 their average was 15. From 2011-2015 their average rank was 34. That is a department wide collapse.
- Auburn had a smaller decline. From 2006-2010 their average was a rank of 23. From 2011-2015 their average was a rank of 32.
- Alabama and Arkansas are almost mirror images. Their 10 year average is 0.50 different, 5 year average 1.40 difference and 3 year average 1.00 different.
- Florida, Texas A&M, Georgia and LSU were consistently 1-4 in every measurement cycle

Florida, A&M and UGA are the cream of the crop. Nothing surprising here.

3 downvotes in about 5 minutes. People are really mad at the numbers. The numbers are mean.

Where is Kentucky reaping such gains? Basketball is a excelling constant.
Genuine curiosity.

Bama is #1. They have dominated the TV and the money. I hate Bama with a passion, but this shite of weighting sports the same is a joke. Football is king, and Bama has been on another level.

I honestly don't know, would have to ask them.
Baseball has been up and down. They are good at women's basketball now, but I don't know if that was good before. Tennis? Golf? They are much better at softball than before.

Aggies just hired a new AD, and he has overseen a football staff upgrade.
Optimistic about the department going forward. It was on autopilot with the guy we "stole" from South Carolina.

Where are you getting these #s from?
Regardless, even though I'm still not really 100% sold on either Dave Hart or Butch Jones, they're lightyears ahead of Mike Hamilton and Kiffin/Dooley.

Football is only a small part of the Tennessee problems. Basketball, football, baseball, women's basketball, etc have all gone from upper level SEC programs to middle of the pack or bottom of the pack programs.
