Quick thing about Ole Miss

I live here. It is easier for me to find out information about Ole Miss and the scandals that have been happening recently. I am not proud of what has happened, and I do not condone cheating in any way. But, with multiple family members and friends who are very close to the football team and athletic department, this really isn't going to be that bad. Maybe a few scholarships stripped, but no postseason ban, unless there are still things I don't know (which there may be, I don't know). However, we are not going to get the death penalty. Recruiting may drop off a bit, but on-field performance will be fine. No one (except maybe a few low level players) will transfer because of this. Ole Miss isn't going anywhere.

Glad to hear the spin campaign is going on as planned.

Finally an Ole Miss fan with some sense.
Change the record on everything else.

Denial Stage 2: Telling yourself nothing will happen so much that you actually start to believe it.

It was pointed out in another thread that even if Ole Miss doesn't get hammered with sanctions, their program is likely to fall back a bit because with the NCAA breathing down their necks, there's no way they'll be able to pull the strings necessary to get more top 10 classes at Ole Miss like they have been.

That may be true, and I am probably the only LSU fan on here that hopes that OM doesn't get hammered. I have close friends and family that are grads and I don't want them to have the rug jerked out from under them.
That said, if this were not that bad and this only related to what has leaked, then why in the world has OM not officially released the Notice?
Why is OM (allegedly) fighting off the Public Records Request to produce the letter?
These are the things that would worry me if I were an OM fan.

The good news is when the bowl ban ends, this current recruiting class may get to experience one.

Probably right Rockytop. Would be surprised if we are able to get recruits like we have been able to.

I am hoping Scott Stricklin offers a discounted Bulldog Club membership to Ole Miss fans that want to jump ship. It's the right thing to do.

Probably didn't want to release it because it was so close to NSD. My only guess honestly.

It seems like every OM poster here has some sort of inside information.
A week ago, everyone said that out of all the violations, only 3 were for football and they all occurred in the Nutt era.
When will you motherfrickers admit that you don't know shite?

Is this the bargaining stage? It sounds like the bargaining stage

True...but that was a week ago now and still no letter, despite PRR from multiple news outlets (allegedly).

They just need to listen to Coonass aka GOAT prognosticator. His powers have reversed.

Well see, now that OM has been caught, one would assume they'll have to start playing by the rules. And without all the cheating, that means recruiting goes back to what it was before Freeze came in and the $$$ started flowing.
So in actuality, it means Ole Miss is going right back to where they sat from 1963-2012. Which translates into 7-6 seasons.
So yes, you Rebels are going somewhere.

OM is the only fanbase that does this.
