I think when he's on the field and healthy he is a destructive force that every offense must deal with.

NOT overhyped.

Hyped like Clowney plays like a 3-4 NT.

Most overhyped, overrated, and overpaid player in SEC history.

He isn't a bad player and can dominate at times, but he needs to be a bigger force (disrupt) in the middle and make more plays.

Not overhyped by Ole Miss fans, but the Top 5 overall pick stuff coming out for him leads me to believe none of those guys actually watch him play and just remember him being the #1 prospect a couple years ago.

At the moment he's a very good but not great college player that will get drafted highly based on potential.

Not sure if that means he is overhyped or not.

The most interesting thing to me is that he didn't make the two-deep for the Coaches All-SEC team.

It just seems odd that he could be seen as an All-American by the media but not even All-SEC by the coaches that gameplan against him.

His numbers may not be flashy, but he causes havoc and makes things easier for the guys around him.

Every top overall recruit in each class gets gets huge amount of press even when they are good but not great. RN is the same way, he is a solid DE and will probably get drafted in the first round for the same measurable that put him at the top of the recruiting lists. He isn't nearly the best DE in the SEC at the college level though.

Clowney had off the chart measurables but barely seemed to give a shite half the time, of course he was much more productive than RN even while barely caring.

A) Jacob Coker won the offseason Heisman Trophy last season.

B) You're a Tennessee man, so you'd definitely know what overhyped players and teams look like.

C) You're a rustled little bitch.

D) Response thread

He's a good player. Behind Barnett and Garrett, but still a nice prospect.

Look at recent #1 overalls:

2014 Leonard Fournette - good first season, established himself as a top 3 back in the SEC at the end of the year. Very promising.

2012 Dorial Green Beckham - very good while at Missouri, off the field issues hurt. Still a 2nd round pick.

2011 Clowney - enough said.

2010 Ronald Powell - pretty meh career.

2009 Matt Barkley - good college career.

2008 Daquan Bowers - great college career.

2007 Joe McKnight - great college career.

2006 Andre Smith - great college career.

Looking at this list, Nkemdiche is definitely in the bottom 3 in terms of production.
