aggies, I am reading that Tyler Stubs may return before the end of the season? Where does he stand eligibility wise, i.e. is he going to sit out, red shirt & return next yr or would playing in a few games this yr exhaust his eligibility? And what has happened to the staff, as they were all but dominating for most of the season?

They are worn out, and we really don't have a solution other than praying for a miracle comeback by one of our best 2 pitchers which have been gone all year.

he's a true sophomore but he'll be 21 and is draft-eligible this year. There is zero chance he plays 3 more years so the redshirt thing is pretty pointless.

I hope the young man makes it back soon.

Childress is notorious for running his pitchers into the ground. With them being short handed, I imagine his staff is feels like arse this time of year.

He's been throwing for awhile. Nobody really knows if he'll pitch this year. There was a rumor that he's throwing the midweek game this week, but I'll believe it when I see it.

wait, what? There are a lot of negative things you can say about Childress, but this isn't one of them

Not any more than most coaches and actually much less than guys like Augie and Graham.

Tyler Stubblefield is a sophomore that is draft eligible this summer 2015. Big Power lefty that might go high in the draft, even though he didn't play this year.

I think the staff is reveting back to the norm. Outside of Long (should be our Sunday guy, current "ace") we have not have consistent starters Saturday or Sunday. The main reason is the guys we've been running out aren't good enough (Kent) or not there yet (Larkins, Hill, Hendrix).

Despite losing 2 w/e starters, there is no pitcher this year that has thrown an obscene number of pitches in any one games. There is no pitcher that has thrown back-to-back games unless it was fewer than about 10 pitches the first game. And no pitcher on our entire staff has thrown many innings.
And yes, Loux failed a physcial but there is nothing to indicate it had anything to do with workload. He was injured in a season he started 12 games and threw a grand total of 48 IP over the course of the year (he had zero relief appearances). I hardly think anyone would call that overuse.
To be honest, it's a rather retarded premise you're going with, though I do admire you doubling down on it by providing a random link that really doesn't discuss the topic or bringing up Loux, who you clearly know nothing about
