Wanted to gain the knowledge of the SEC Rant on the following questions:
1.) Which program is currently in better shape?
2.) Which program has been better since 1999?
3.) Which program has been better since 1970?
Disclaimer: Not at all trying to rip or attack Tennessee. Trying to settle an argument.
TIA

Tennessee is in better shape than LSU currently? Huh?

1. LSU is in much better shape and the talent in state of TN has been their downfall after Fulmer's cheating/national recruiting
2. LSU since 99 and Saban and Miles made Fulmer quit
3. Take out the Hallman era and LSU is right up there

All 3 of those answers seem glaringly obvious.

Your answer to #3 is stupid. You can't take 4 seasons away. Also they won a national championship in a year when we won 4 games. It's Tenneessee.

How many NC's has TN won and played in since 1970?
Now compare that to LSU
Now compare that to LSU

1. LSU (but could flip very easily if TN takes control of the Eastern Division in the next couple years and LSU falls in the West and has to replace Miles. Could make wrong hire and fall off again.)
2. LSU (this one isn't close. LSU has been HEAD AND SHOULDERS better than TN the past 15 years.
3. Tennessee but not by much

won 1
played for 2
Was one bad half (vs LSU) in playing in a 3rd.

Then how would you reply?
The same way most people in the thread have
LSU
LSU
tennessee
ETA: #3 is tricky, and can probably be debated either way. If someone said LSU I wouldn't think anything of it. But 1 and 2 are obviously, clearly, far and away LSU and there is no debate whatsoever.

yep and LSU has won 2 and played in 3 and was 1 screen pass away from playing in another (Bama game)
Not trolling and don't want to argue but I think LSU gets all 3 categories.

Tennessees golden era was the 30s and 50s. We weren't very good in the 70s. Since 1970, it's a tossup. LSU has been better at national titles. Tennessee has more wins in that time.
And yes, I wouldn't trade out program right now with LSU going forward. We are loading up on talent in a weaker division. I would be shocked if we didn't wina natty in the next 3 or 4 years.

Is this specifically relating to the football program only?
