One thing that stood out to me was that Kentucky was either out-rebounded or had the opposing team go toe to toe with them in that specific department. Not really all familiar with names but I found it somewhat puzzling that a 6' 5" guard for Notre Dame at one point out-rebounded two 7 footers on multiple occasions.

Did that worry any Cat fans going into the Wisconsin game? I mean the game itself was close as could be, but Kentucky won it nonetheless.

I watched both games and a good bit of the time, it felt more like Kentucky was playing not to lose rather than to just win.

Yes

And, I was really worried about the Wisky game. I thought by far, it was the toughest test for us all year.

I wasn't personally as concerned about rebounding, but I was about the type of offense Wisconsin ran, and the fact that all 5 players on the court were shooters.

Now, the way that Wisconsin was able to rebound on the offensive side of the ball had me scratching my head. WCS struggled all game long.

I thought Kentucky was going to lose near the end of the game when they were up on Wisky by about 2 points. They didn't seem to have any direction or life on offense and were just standing around waiting for Andrew Harrison to make a move to the basket. The difference in the game was on the inside. You would think that Kentucky would have the advantage with 3 forwards near 7 ft. But Wisconsin's 3 main forwards scored 48 points while Kentucky's only scored 28; Willey Cauley-Stein only scored 2 points.

The two teams that I thought would give us the most trouble were our last 2 games.

They seriously missed Poythress in these last 2 games imo. He is just a much better matchup fit at the 4 against ND and Wisky.

In both games California would have greatly benefited from a 2-3 match up zone.

3 shot clock violations in a row late in the game for UK IIRC.

This.

We panicked in the last 5 minutes. When Harrison started to miss those easy bennies on the drives, we were toast. Plus the missed shot clock violation took the air out of us at the 2:25 mark. (I know, Lyles should had gotten a F1 call)...which killed our momentum.

The better team won, Wisky deserve it...hats off to them.

When we were up 4 and had 3 straight shot clock violatons and couldn't score, I was worried that would come back to haunt us. One more basket in there, and I think we run away the last 5 minutes and win.
