And yet Trevor Knight isn't anywhere near as good a either. Keep doubting what I'm saying. He only played here at OU. What would we know?

Colt Brennan was a backup at Colorado, got kicked off the team then went to Hawaii. History says air raid offenses have average QBs.

Nothing difficult about being average at A&M. They've been average for decades.

I'm not arguing with you that air-raid QBs are average, numbnuts. I'm TELLING YOU that Trevor Knight is BELOW AVERAGE.

You can buy ATM's offense online for $795.00. It says it's proven to help teams win in-season and playoff games even though I can't find where any of the coaches that contributed to the product have ever coached in a playoff game.

Butt hurt and stupid is a terrible combo. Keep putting up the front, but you obviously don't know shite about football and you can't stop crying about the wrongs Trevor did to your beloved land thieves. You have a good team this year, move on (and learn something while you're at).

I think it was Bill Connelly that said it perfect. The run game was usually good for 4-5 yards on first down, however it was never more than that. We had no game breaking ability in Carson. He was simply an average to below average back that had to shoulder the load because we were so thin at RB last year.

Hopefully Ford fixes that to a degree and what we have seen out of Trayveon Williams so far seems like he has some big play ability (and is a good pass receiver out of the backfield).

Add Kliff Kingsbury, BJ Symons, Sonny Cumbie, and Graham Harrell to the list of guys who were average at best (I think Kliff made a practice squad, but that's the best any of them achieved post-college as players) but put up huge passing numbers in an Air Raid. An Air Raid-type system puts emphasis on knowing the offense and being an efficient "plant operator" of the offense by making quick decisions. Those are the primary qualifications. Not a cannon arm, not extreme accuracy, not mobility, not genius football IQ and the ability to memorize and understand the intricacies of a playbook as long as Moby Dick. Can you throw the ball 5, 10 yards with accuracy? Ok, are you capable of, after drilling 1,000 times on the only handful of plays we have, instinctively making the correct pass in a given post-snap situation as dictated to you by the system and instilled in you after all of our drilling, after only 2 seconds? Good. Are you able to trust the system to work in the end and not get shaken up by setbacks on any one particular drive? Great, you can put up big numbers as an Air Raid QB. The all-time single season record-holding Leach disciple is an investment banker in Houston.

You can buy playbooks and instructional tapes for any offense. It's football, not rocket science.

If Baker Mayfield transferred instead, and grew two inches, you would still be here telling us that he is garbage. I actually believe you don't care Knight left, but all you do here is troll, so no one is going to take your opinion on the matter seriously.

Stupid logic. Mayfield finished 4th in the Heisman voting last year. Knight hasn't done anything near that. Mayfield is who beat an experienced Knight out in Riley's "air-raid" offense. So no......Knight isn't going to somehow be better in ATMs offense. Keep telling me how great he's gonna be in your offense because of how average he is.

And yet, no one here has said he'll be great. I only believe he needs to be average. Basically just don't be a disaster like we had last year and we'll be much better offensively.

Man, good luck on that defense carrying you if Knight is average and you have no running game. They can't score that many TDs on D.

Who says we'll have no running game? I expect it to be improved. And it would be pretty hard for Knight to be worse than what we had last year, and we went 8-4 then. Defense will be better than last year too. Schedule is harder though, so we could be greatly improved and still be 8-4 or 9-3.

I'm not nearly as worried about Knight as the OL. If we get good line play I think Knight can get the ball to our playmakers which will make him look good. I also think we can be at least top half in the SEC running the ball. It's a big if though

60% completion, 2600 all purpose yards and 21 TD's as a redshirt sophomore. Plus a Sugar Bowl win. Interceptions were too high that year, I'll give you that, but our "below average" QB has done something your current QB hasn't...he won a bowl game.

If anything, he is average to slightly above average based on what he has done so far. To get on here and try to convince people otherwise is nothing but uninformed trolling.
