Mack played a lot as a true freshman last year. I will be concerned about it if Mack doesn't play a lot vs UCLA, depth charts don't mean a whole lot at positions like DT where players rotate so much

Did you read my post? Walker may be "starting" but Mack will play as much as anyone in the DT rotation.

Oh not saying he won't play, because he will, but Chavis will give minutes to older guys alllll the time that should go to younger more, talanted guys.
Again, I think Chavis is a very good DC. Although I think A&M is a year or two away from having enough talented depth on defense to be a great unit and I think their offensive style doesn't help the defense much either. You were 99th I think in the country in TOP.

You ran when your QBs sucked because what else would you do? Stabaneck isn't a world beater QB by any means. He's better than Knight though.

Laugh all you want, the defense will be improved from last year. And last year's defense was not bad. We had major LB problems, due to injury which caused most of the problems with stopping the run.
