There's some bars on 5th street, but I hear good things about 4th. You should go for it.

1. Intimidate everyone with your manly height.
2. Talk to women about their SAT scores.
3. Get Hugh Freeze's autograph
4. Count fence posts

Ajax, Boure, Soulshine, and Proud Larry's are going to be your best bets with out reservations

You need to have someone link you to one of the other threads that have been done on this. Or you could just find OMlandshark and he'll write you a novel on the subject.

2Stick has some very good sushi

Ajax is popular, but it's a typical "meat and 3" place, which I don't care for.

Two stick is garbage.

I forgot about Emighlis(sc?). It's damn good too.

Restaurants:
Bouré
Taylor Grocery-10 minutes outside of Oxford. Just drive down to the end of Old Taylor Road and it's on your left. Can't miss it.
Ajax-My personal favorite. Never had a bad meal there and you won't leave hungry. Guaranteed.
City Grocery
Big Bad Breakfast
Kabuki-great sushi on Jackson Avenue
Old Venice
Proud Larry's has pretty good food. Not my first choice though

UNDER NO circumstances should you go to Rooster's to eat.

Bars:
Burgundy Room-My personal favorite
This Library- in particular the middle part or "The Boom Boom Room"
Frank and Marley's
Irie
Funky's
Rooster's-Very chill and laid back. Usually have a decent blues or country band. Again DO NOT eat from here.
Proud Larry's
Bar above City Grocery
The Levee/Corner Bar-Where all the freshmen sluts love to hang out.
Rib Cage- decent if you know people who are there.

Hope this helps. Have a good time

What's better for sushi? Haven't been back in over a year. I always liked 2Stick.

Just go eat at the Rib Cage then go to the bar. Boure is fun, but it's been slam packed the past 3 times I've been to Oxford this year. But I guess I should leave this thread up to the locals. Personally the Library and the Levee are my two favorite bars.

Bring your wallet. I went from $1 Whiskey Wednesdays with no cover in Starkville to $8 Whiskey Wells and a $20 cover.

No. Kabuki is the best sushi in Oxford.

Sushi bars rank as follows:

1) Kabuki

2) Nagoya (or Toyo)

3) Two Stick.

I would not advice this. Rib Cage isn't very good IMO.
