I think the results will not improve, and they will have traded a classy coach for the biggest douche bag, who permits all sorts of shenanigans by their players.

I hope Les lands in a great place, and has a great career. I feel like this has gone down in a really horrid way.

Jimbo underperforms. He is a younger Les and it would be a joke to fire Les to hire a younger version of him.

Once he does leave the scene, some lucky coach will get a chance to be the new king of the hill, and that could be the coach at LSU, A&M, Auburn, or Bama. Only time will tell, but I don't believe Jimbo is any more likely to knock Saban off his perch than several other SEC coaches.

I think it would be great if Les was offered and took the Fla St job.

Everyone here seems to acknowledge that Fisher can recruit and that he can develop quarterbacks. If so, LSU under Fisher would be a threat to the rest of the SEC including Alabama every season. It's why Alabama fans are almost universally saying it is stupid for LSU to part ways with Miles. Alabama fans are smart - they know that winning the SEC west every year probably just got tougher and their coach ain't getting any younger.

If Jimbo leaves his present gig with all its advantages to come into a meat grinder like the SEC, he's an idiot.....oh, and I'd love to see him take the job.

You mean the meat grinder conference that was pretty mediocre at best in the bowls last year and has already had its sec west teams lose to Memphis and Toledo. I'm an SEC fan but some of the stuff about how great the conference is overblown hype. I doubt Fisher or any other coach worth his salt views it as an overwhelming challenge.

people thinking LSU can get Fisher away from FSU is the exact same thing as Texas thinking they could get Saban away from Alabama.

Florida St won a national title 2 years ago, was in the top 4 last year, and has 2.5 difficult games a year. What exactly can LSU offer Jimbo that he does not have at FSU besides better gumbo?

I would laugh that they spent that much money on a guy who has a hard time winning in the ACC.

I mean he lost to Muschamp. Do you know how hard that is?

Please do hire him. LSU will get what they deserve treating Les the way they are.

Fisher is soft on discipline, he allowed Winstn to basically humiliate him on national tv and looked like puss letting JW rant and rave and curse him out on the sidelines. What will those River Parish players at LSU do to him?

He's a good coach. He'll win games. But LSU fans seem to have convinced themselves that they'll dominate the conference as soon as he lands in Baton Rouge and they'll never lose to Alabama again with the staff he's going to put together (and that's almost an exact quote from that DALSU guy) and the evidence simply does not back this up.

So, no. I ain't scurred. And TBH I'm starting to get a "Saban to Texas" vibe from this whole thing.

He plays nobodies all year. He has had several WTF are you doing games vs these nobodies. His colors will show at LSU. Great recruiter and developer but average game planner and game day coach. A poor man's Meyer

Well, that's concerning.

Edit: for the record straight I've never been a Jimbo fan.
