If you don't think Jimbo is the right hire, then you just don't think there is a right hire and would be shitting on any hire LSU could make.

SEC sucked dick that year. They would've been fine in the SEC with that roster.
What? There was little to no didfermece in the skill of Auburn and FSU in that NC. Now make FSU play a combination of Auburn, Alabama, LSU, Georgia and whoever else. Yeah, FSU would have run right through the SEC

I not gonna shite on whoever y'all hire. I want LSU to be dominant. I like LSU. My best friend and his family who are my family's best friends are LSU fans from Eunice(sp). I'm on my way to eat Thanksgiving dinner with them right now. I like LSU.

I just think y'all's expectations don't line up with what Jimbo brings. For 1, I think Saban will buttfrick him damn near every year. 2nd, he's going to lose games that will blow y'all's minds.

This is all just my opinion.

I think that he is the coach in Florida with tons of top recruits, playing in a weak conference and struggling. Hire away but in reality he's not leaving Tallahassee.

3 losses total in last 3 years, and two of those losses were to top 3 ranked teams.

Yeah he never wins the games he should

If I were part of that overbearing fanbase, I would be concerned about hiring a coach who both gives the appearance of enabling bad behavior in order to help him deal with the pressure of meeting the expectations FSU fans have of his coaching, and who also may be trying to deal with the pressure of personal emotional difficulties by just getting the hell out of town.

I see a guy willing to run into pressure in order to escape pressure. A guy whose ego tells him that he can handle the pressure he hasn't seen, better than the pressure he's already under.

But admittedly, I don't Jimbo.

I just don't see it. Jimbo has a really easy path there at FSU. I can't fathom why he'd want to leave that cush job for the corndog fryer that is LSU.

Again, I don't know what you're talking about. I didn't say he never wins games that he should.

No! It's hard and he doesn't have an incredibly large talent gap over his completion. He'll be exactly what LSU want!

I wouldn't care. I think he's on Les's level head coaching wise. At this point the assistants matter more.

I'll give an FSU fan's perspective. Bobby took FSU as low as you possibly can without some kind of crippling probation. We had a defense ranked in the 100s in 2009 bc Mickey Andrews only came back one more year as a favor to Bobby. He played 1 star seniors over 4 star underclassmen and just didn't care. Any coach with any ability would have improved the team after Bobby. Jimbo has done a hell of a job, but has also benefited from a crap conference and UF taking a nosedive in his very 1st year. The 2013 team was incredible, but the rest have had inexplicable gaffes. Which brings me to Jimbo's offense/Rick Trickett. We've been completely shut down by teams with horrible and talentless defenses way too many times. Jimbo has work to do with the offense wherever he is. He refuses to hire a real OC and hand over the reigns, and his playcalling/gameplanning/scheme have been embarrassingly bad way too often. He's a good coach and great recruiter, but if he brings his offense and Rick Trickett to the SECW...LSU may have more false starts per game than first downs per game in 2016

Fischer is a good head coach and good recruiter. He'll likely do very well at LSU. He probably won't be Saban 2.0 so they need to have reasonable expectations

Y'all act like there haven't been any close games in the last 5 losses and or Bama has went undefeated. All of this with LSU having abismal play from the QB position. With Jimbo specializing in QBs it seems he would be the perfect fit. If he is the next coach at LSU.

Fisher would be an amazing pick.

The missing ingredient is qb for LSU and even in the off years, I would take the qb FSU cranks out.

We really don't have time to get a case of the vapors about who, or who not, is LSU's head coach.
