Question for NON LSU fans, what would you think if they hired Jimbo?

I've said before I like Miles, but I think it is time for LSU to move on. I don't think he has another national title in him. I think Jimbo would be a step up because of one thing. He's a great offensive coach and a QB guru. That 2013 FSU offense was a thing of beauty, I'd argue it is the best (IMO) offense in recent memory.

He doesn't scare me, but I do think he has a much higher chance at winning a national title at LSU in the next 5 years than Les does.

Exact same as any other coaching change that has taken place in the SEC. Indifferent.

I would feel bad for old Les. He looks like he's aged about 10 years these past 3 weeks.

I think he's a sleezeball who also under performs so he may beat Bama every other year but then also lose to arky or A&M (something les hasn't done)

Atleast les is a good man who people love. Jimbo is a rapist instigator

I'm not saying don't fire les but I'm saying jimbo also underperforms against lesser competition. Luckily he had the number one pick in the draft to bring his team back from double digit deficits against bad competition. However, that #1 pick shouldn't have been on the field because he's the epitome of an over entitled athlete who can steal and take advantage of girls because "Hey I'm Jameis Winston I wouldn't have to force girls to bang me therefore she's lying"

Edit: sorry got off point, hungover rant

I'd feel like the Baton Rouge PD bout to get some serious under the table cash payments.

Do you not think Miles underperformed? I think he does more so now than ever in his career. we all know Les is a class act. Love what he's done for us, but I think if we were to get Jimbo, it's a great move.

I just can't be intimidated by a grown man who goes by Jimbo.

Other than that, I'm kinda whatever on the whole thing. I don't really blame them for wanting a change.

I don't see Jimbo being huge improvement over Les. The fact is that Saban is the best in the business, and nobody's going to knock him off the top of the mountain as long as he doesn't hang on too long. Once he does leave the scene, some lucky coach will get a chance to be the new king of the hill, and that could be the coach at LSU, A&M, Auburn, or Bama. Only time will tell, but I don't believe Jimbo is any more likely to knock Saban off his perch than several other SEC coaches.

Oh I know he does that's why I said jimbo "also" does. So if both underperform i think you go with the higher character

But I understand wanting something new and fresh around the program

Bingo. All of the other fan bases on here have more then enough to concern them going forward with their own teams. We really don't have time to get a case of the vapors about who, or who not, is LSU's head coach.

We wouldn't even be talking about it except that Les is such a popular coach for the entire conference.

I'd laugh because he's overrated as hell.

Ok he's good and I wouldn't laugh. But, he is overrated as hell. He's no better than Les.

you gotta go study some film for the game this weekend? Maybe go visit some recruits?

What a dumb statement.

You think a guy with a National Championship and 3 straight top 10 finishes is overrated? A guy with an 83% win percentage? You are ridiculous.

Jimbo is in a position that allows him to recruit SEC talent and play an ACC schedule. At most he only has to get up for 2 quality conference games a year. Why would he give up that gig for a program with such a 'what have you done for me lately?' mentality.
