Growing up in Alabama, it seemed like everyone had at least one relative that had a "Bama Room", a room in their house dedicated to all things Crimson Tide. Usually there were photos and paintings of Bear Bryant, ceramic elephants, autographed footballs, a Daniel Moore painting, etc.

I never knew anyone with an "Auburn Room". Is that just a Bama thing or do you know people that have similar rooms for other SEC teams?

Yeah I think most people just have man caves with college gear in them.

A certain subset, which rhymes with schmalabama, elevates the man cave to a weird shrine like thing.

It's only a 'bama thing' if the person with the bama room never attended Alabama.

I have never been in a house that had that sort of room, but I am sure every fanbase has a couple of people that do that sort of thing.

I think it's a waste of money/space but whatever...to each his own.

Never seen one. But I know that being passionate about a team is probably almost impossible for fans of ACC teams to understand.

Nor have I, and I grew up in Alabama. I've seen news articles and TV spots on them though, and it's usually the stereotypical Gump that has them, at least for Bama.

Hey that's pretty cool. I am actually in the photo of the GT game you posted. I'm the one on the 20th row on the 50 yard line. If you zoom up you'll see I have a calculus book in my hand.

It's Alabama. Aka the Void. Aka one of the shittiest states in the country along with Mississippi and West Virginia. Alabama football comes before their career, family, health, etc. It only makes sense to have a room in honor of what matters most in life.

I have friends who have a room with AU shite all over it. I think it's a little stupid for any team.

My uncle's Man Cave is basically a Gator shrine. Other than his PC and whatever the latest gaming console was, everything else in the room was various Gator posters and other paraphernalia. What's really neat is that the walls are covered with scorecards of the more memorable games he's attended and basically every ticket stub from his however-many-decades of being a season ticket holder. Looking at some of them from the 60's, 70's, and 80's is pretty darn cool, with caricature artwork of the teams' mascots and stuff.

I loved that room when I was a kid and always wanted one kinda like it when I "grew up". Now that I am, I do have my Woman Cave in our house, but it's not 100% Gator decked out. It's an assortment of stuff, mostly a mix of video game posters and Gator posters/scorecards.

Well to be fair, it's the team of the state. Simply living there is enough. Kind of like French people cheering for the French National Team.

Was there a stiff wind that day and you were using it to keep from blowing away, you skinny, pencil necked geek?

I don't think stereotypical gumps can afford Bama man caves.

First picture looks good (minus the pillows). Next three get trashy.

If Tennessee fans really cared about excellence and championships.... every house would have a Lady Vols room.
