Where is a good place to eat on Friday night? Also, where would you suggest going out on Friday night?

Depends what you want to eat.
Hamburgers: Cheeburger Cheeburger, 5 Guys (both downtown), Niffers (Opelika)
Pizza: Little Italy and Mellow Mushroom (downtown)
BBQ: Mike and Ed's is the best we have (not saying much)
Sandwich: Momma G's hands down (2 in the downtown area)
If you want to go fancier: Hamilton's (downtown, but there are better places), Amsterdam's (better and cheaper than Hamiltons, but crowded as hell, close to campus), Cafe123 (Opelika), Warehouse Bistro (Opelika, and the best restaurant within 50 miles IMO), Maestro 2300 (in Moores Mill by the golf course, about 5-10 minute drive from campus)
As for bars, the quality one's are downtown, with the exception of Supper Club, which is a must if you have never been. 17 Floor is playing this weekend I believe, they always attract some easy tail

Good GOD, no.
The best BBQ in town is either at Byron's Smoke House on Opelika Road or the Barbecue House on College Street. Second place would be Country's Barbecue farther out on Opelika Road. Mike and Ed's BBQ is far, FAR behind these three.

Seeing as you're about my age, I'd suggest heading to Niffer's Place on Opelika Highway for dinner, back to the hotel for some drinks & then Supper Club about 11.
