I have to think Gus will need to make some changes at the end of the season. Who do you guys think will be sacrificed in order for him to ensure one more year as HC?

OC, not because it's Rhett's fault but because he serves no real purpose

Hope its Lashlee but he just knocked his wife up with a couple of Auburn anchor babies....I have a hard time seeing Gus kicking him to the curb under those circumstances.

I would guess if there is a change, it is Lashlee. There's mixed reports about who's actually calling the plays too.
A decent QB will go a long way next year (if we can get one).

I wonder if there has ever been a situation where an OC was demoted to some lesser assistant coach position. If Lashlee wants to stay at Auburn, and Gus wants him to stay, perhaps that is a possibility.

Just a band aid I'm afraid, though.

Other than giving the crowd a head, I don't see what good firing Lashlee would do. It is Gus' offense and Lashlee knows it better than anyone. Unless Gus wants to completely hand over playcalling to a coordinator and go with a different system, firing Lashlee would be an awful move.

Most of the offensive staff will be replaced. Lashlee will not be fired, but will be shown the door. OL coach may retire due to health issues and Horton may get his own coaching gig. Defensively, there are some rumblings that there may be some shake up on that end as well. Maybe Garner

Yeah, that's the dilemma. I do think at the very least Lashlee needs to be relieved of the QB coaching duties. I wish Dameyune would have been given that job from the beginning.

Maybe, but we're paying a chunk of change for a Gus sycophant. I'm sure Rhett is a nice and knowledgeable dude, but why do we have 2 offensive geniuses and a shitty offense?

We need someone to break up the monotony and say things like "hey, that kid is not a good QB, don't put him in in the red zone when the good QB just drove 70 yards."

He needs an OC to challenge his play calling, move Craig to QB coach, get a different WR coach, and probably a new DL coach.

Because I doubt Lashlee questions much of anything Gus says, considering their relationship.

1. Give Muschamp a blank check to bring in who he wants on defense, particularly DL.

2. Something on offense has to give. QB development is a serious conundrum and there isn't enough blocking to run our plays on the edge. Alabama actually runs a lot of the same (or similar) plays we do now with Kiffin, but they actually work because the offense blocks and/or plays disciplined. Don't know if the problem is scheming or execution, but there is a big problem with our edge running.

All of this should happen and most likely will with the possible exception of an OC able to challenge his play calling.

Lots of people saying that Bentley might get the nob to move up to QB/OC but where does that leave Craig and this is the biggest problem. If you get rid of a Co-OC, how do you hire another one without giving it over to the other Co-OC to start with?

He is a good Qb but doesnt fit the system Gus runs.

Also, there are a lot of Auburn fans that give up on players after being let down...even when the player is severely hurt and shouldnt even be in the game.

he can barely stand up, I'd say they have gone a long way towards ruining him already.

I disagree with this entire post. he fits this system fine. the coaches dont call the plays that suit his strengths and have consistently kept him behind the chains when he does play. then the few times their brains come on his WRs totally shut down on him. I also havent seen any AU people give up on White. the kid is legit he has just been put in terrible positions with little to no help.

It's obvious they need to can Marlon Davidson's brother, he is the cause of all this. :-)
