Would Aggies be ok with losing every conference game and the UCLA game in exchange for breaking the losing streak with LSU, shutting their mouths for a year (which when you think about it would disappoint an Aggie), and getting a new head coach next year

Unbiased fan, I watch SEC football and a few other teams because it's the minor leagues of the NFL

No fricking way. The LSU game isn't the entire season, and every new head coaching hire is a crapshoot and reboot.

No. We will beat LSU this year anyway. No need to be ok with losing every conference game.

He is implying if we win it would shut up LSU fans for a year.

Not saying I agree with that, just telling you what OP said.

Cardboard and Out, thank you for real responses. I felt it could end up being best of both worlds for the Ags with the situation since they could give the finger to LSU. Never thought Kevin Sumlin was a good coach, inherited a great situation, not once, but twice. Tom Hermann on the other hand is the real deal. In a perfect world, he would be going to UT to restore balance for the Big 12.

Texag and WestCoast thank you for confirming what I've observed in the months I've lurked here. Any semblance of negativity towards your team results in insecure responses

Not saying I disagree, but at this point how good of a coach Sumlin is doesn't matter. He is a CEO, our coordinators and assistants determine our ceiling and we happen to have a top 5 DC in college football that would leave if Sumlin got fired.

We don't know, he has only been a coach for one season. From what we have seen so far he is full of "swag" and smoke and mirrors (hiring coaches of tops recruits to sign them) that might prove him to be a mirage. He wouldn't be my top choice if Sumlin was fired.

Well at least we don't have to wonder whose side you are on.

I don't like UT. It's good for college football when powerhouses stay near the top while other teams rise up during down years for those powerhouses..Baylor, TCU, Ole Miss recent succes. It brings up the college football world as a whole.

I'm not speaking of swag, please A&M stop using that word, it makes other fans cringe and now laugh with it blowing up in your faces (oops another double entendre). But I'm also speaking about the WRTS bs. Tom Hermann runs his program like a CEO. I would not say the same thing about Sumlin. I always thought Jim Harbaugh had the mentality that Hermann is showing. Not on the same level at all but similar. Let the playing on the field do the talking.

This board is not fun. There is only sorrow and gnashing of teeth here.

That doesn't make sense. Either parity is good or only having traditional powers win is good, you can't have it both ways. ESPN would prefer the former, I argue the latter is better for the sport.

Uh, no offense but you have no idea what you are talking about. This is Tom Herman:

I have never seen a non-rap music CEO with a grill, nor can a white guy who gets a grill for recruiting really want to let "the playing on the field do the talking."

He is trying to win via swag, he just has a different name for it.

there is no team that would take a season full of losses for one win. it's the same stupid question that random stupid asses ask periodically throughout the season.
