PSU vs SEC Champ

How do you think Penn St would fare against the eventual SEC champ?
McSorley doesn't perform well under pressure (~40% completion rate) and about 75% of their offense runs through Barkley. That's a recipe for disaster against a good defense which they haven't seen yet.
So I'd say Bama (obviously), UGA, Auburn and maybe LSU would embarrass them. Would love this matchup for the SEC in the playoff. Thoughts?

I think they end up losing to Ohio State, giving every media pundit a reason to declare OSU as "the best" despite losing to Oklahoma.
OSU gets embarrassed by Bama or UGA in the playoffs. Media quickly forgets it happened.

PSU would not match up well with UGA or Bama. They have the players to shutdown Barkley and McSorley isn't very good.

Hard to say if the SECChamp defenses would be able to slow down PSU's high powered offense. I do think Michigan's defense is on par with UGA and Bama. We will see how they do they today and know a lot more. I will say this, PSU may very well have the best running back according to his pres. But nobody runs on Bama, and I haven't seen anybody out flank or power run on UGA either. So if PSU does win and play the SEC Champ and beats them, it will be through the air.

No we wouldn't, have you seen our team play this year? We won't embarrass anyone this year.
But UGA would beat them by a TD and Bama by a few scores.

Yeah, I'm interested in seeing Michigan match up with the offense. Barkley is huge in their passing game too so shutting him down is key. Indiana pulled it off for three quarters. To me, they don't look like a number 2 team in the country but we shall see.

If Michigan can shut it down, then I think Bama and UGA can too. If PSU scores more than 30, then I suspect the SEC Champ could be in for one hell of a fight.

Would love to get Penn State or ND in the playoffs. We would destroy both. Penn State are a bunch of sick and twisted people that would make beating them even better.

Penn State will destroy Michigan today and would beat AU by 10 or so. They would destroy LSU and everyone else in SEC outside of UGA and Bama. I actually think their offensive philosophy is one that could and has given Bama trouble. A team that is committed to continue running the ball regardless if they are only getting 2 ypc to keep Bama honest. Than throwing the ball down the field when they do throw. PSU also has a very good defense and top level talent. I think they handle Michigan and Ohio State fairly easily.
