Fitz wasn't even named starter at the beginning of the season and he'll likely be a 2nd team All-SEC QB.

Dan Mullen is a QB whisperer and MSU would be fools to try and run him off or not match another contract offer.

He is a talented QB evaluator.

Yep, he's done very well at MSST.

I wonder why L6U didn't go after him, not saying he would've or wants to go to L6u but he would do great things in Baton Rouge. Much better than Coach Moeaux.

We hope his old AD Strickland calls him home.

He may be at UF but he is still a State grad. No way he hires Dan, I'm sure he will use him as a consultant though.

Yep, 1243 rush yards in only 11 games. He's gonna be something special next year after improving his decision making and passing accuracy over the offseason. He reminds me of Matt Jones running the ball, long legs and runs like a deer. If he gets in the open field he gone. State stole him from FCS powerhouse UT-Chattanooga. If I'm a dual threat QB prospect out of high school, it would be very hard to turn down a offer to play under Mullen.

Say that again.

Look at what he did for Prescott, now look where Prescott is. Mullen might start getting 5 star QBs at MSU.

It's also refreshing seeing a program stick with a HC through a few rough rebuilding years.

He's also very good at spotting talent out of high school too. The 3 main QB's that Mullen went after very hard but signed elsewhere are Josh Dobbs, Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts.

However, Keayton Thompson, who is a 4 star dual threat QB out of Louisiana will sign with State in the next few weeks and enroll in January. He will be the next great one once Mullen is gone, and is by far the most talented High School QB he has signed.

Also, State's QB coach/co-OC Brian Johnson, who was the QB at Utah that demolished Bama in the Sugar Bowl, is a coach that I believe has ALOT of potential as a future OC or even Head Coach. He has had a lot to do with Fitz development and I hope we can hold onto him.

I think Fitzgerald is about where Dak was during his sophomore year as far as his passing game goes.

I fully expect Mullen to develop Fitz over the next two years and wouldn't be surprised if he ends up breaking some of Dak's passing records.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Fitzgerald is putting up Tebow numbers next year.

Mullen is the best coach in America at turning tight ends into quarterbacks.

Shoot, I meant to say once Fitz is gone. However, yes I agree. If Fitz can stay healthy, he may put up some numbers that the SEC hasn't seen since Tebow. Just to put what he has done this year into perspective, if Fitz runs for 200+ in the bowl game, he will break Tebows record for the most rushing yards in a season for a SEC quarterback. And that is with him sitting during the first game against South Alabama, and one can assume that if we played them now he would EASILY run for 150+.

Fitz has a chance to run for 1500+ next year, and now that we have found a running back in Aeris Williams, Fitz is only that much more dangerous running the read option and play action pass. If we can find a defense State might be a 10 win team in 2017 with a down SEC west.

He started his first game against SC and you could tell he was going to be pretty good ... he can run for a white boy.

There are some hotshot young QBs coming up in the league.

He looked great against the two worst rushing defenses in the history of college football.

As long as we don't face a defense of South Alabama's caliber or higher next season, we're looking at a new potential candidate to build another cult around.

Fitz is a so-so QB. At this point, I think Wofford would've ran for 500 yards on Ole Miss.

Funny, but Fitz took maybe 4 or 5 snaps against USA. So I think we'all be fine if we faced a d like that again.

I'm beginning to think you're not a State fan at all*
