Projecting every bowl and playoff games for 2017 (Athlon)

College football's 2017 season is still over 50 days away, but it’s never too early to make projections and predictions on how the bowl games and playoff pairings may look by the time the CFB Playoff selection committee meets in December. The top four teams for the fourth year of the College Football Playoff era could look similar to the final pairings from last season. After falling just short in an epic showdown against Clemson, Alabama is among the favorites to win it all in 2017 once again. Nick Saban's team is Athlon's pick to win it all in Atlanta, Ga., with Ohio State the biggest threat to the Crimson Tide. Florida State and Washington round out the CFB Playoff projections by Athlon Sports, with USC, Penn State, Clemson, Oklahoma and Auburn headlining the next set of contenders.
The 2017-18 bowl schedule features 40 overall games including the national championship. Additionally, the semifinals are back on Jan. 1 this season. The Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl will host the semifinals, while the national championship will be held in Atlanta, Ga. on Jan. 8.
How will the postseason matchups look by December? Below are Athlon Sports' predictions for every bowl and playoff game in 2017:

So either a 2 loss Auburn or 2 loss LSU is making a New years Six bowl? Or a 1 loss Bama is making the playoff?
But if Bama loses to LSU or Auburn, then in this case they probably don't make the SECCG either.
I'm giving this too much thought.

This list is garbage. It has Troy playing La Tech in the New Orleans Bowl. We all know LT is above that bowl and will turn it down.

The media wants it so damn bad because of the storyline. But we had a chance for it this past bowl season in Nashville and McGarity & Co smothered the idea in its crib. No need to confirm for the world whether or not firing RIcht was a good idea (as much as I would love to see us play Miami, a team we've never played before)

These polls are the only thing I cannot stand about college football.
These inflated rankings are what causes us to think certain teams are good while looking over other ones
Say a team is ranked #8 to start the season then is beaten in the second week of the season. The victorious would then be ranked in the Top 15 maybe Top 10 but who is to say that both of them are not any good
