8. Stanford
9. Tennessee
10. Notre Dame
11. Ole Miss
12. Michigan St.
13. TCU
15. Houston
16. UCLA
17. Iowa
18. Georgia
20. USC
24. Oregon
Hon. Mention
3. Oklahoma
5. LSU
Both took a pretty good tumble after stumbling out of the gates but their perceived name value has gotten them votes as they've recently played nobodies.
Looks to me that a whole bunch of sports writers need to be shite-canned for not knowing dick about the sport they cover.

Auburn was unranked and now they are 11th I think. Sportswriters don't know shite. I just saw the unranked list you posted and several of those teams are now highly ranked.

I was looking at stats this morning and Stanford has the lowest producing offense in FBS. Rankings are useless early in the season.

doing an annual recon of preseason, mid-season and post-season rankings would be interesting

You shouldn't be allowed to post the rest of the season if your team loses by more than 50 points in a game

These are about as accurate as those preseason point spreads we heard about. Bama was what in the summer? a 5 point dog to LSU. It's now up to Bama -7.5 and still moving. Will be 9 by gametime. Question is, will it get to double digits.
