Difficult to understand how they can be rank #2 in most polls and the clear pick to win the SEC, when they don't have a QB who started a single meaningful snap behind an OL with holes. Many fans have previously stated that Sims has major problems, yet it appears he has the edge. Not to mention Kiffin, who's had very little success. Someone please explain thehype

LSU's been successful with mediocre QB play in the past.

34 ppg average
3300 yds rushing 34 TD's

Solid oline, best WR in the conference, and 2 pretty sick RBs

All they need is avg QB play and they'll be fine.

Our O this year is gonna make the A&M teams from the last two seasons look like modified football.

Geesh, I hope you are super wrong.

We'll lose three games or more if we only put up those numbers.

Are you asking for predictions or explanations of the hype?

I look forward to watching Kiffin destroy another program. I'd like to know what sort of blackmail material he has on Saban, because he sure as hell did not get that job based on past success.

Yeah, you must be right. Saban is intentionally torpedoing his program. Probably wants the Texas job.

Bama success
Bama recruiting
Bama talent and depth, especially at skill positions
Saban
Kiffin, yes Kiffin
Schedule is manageable

countryboy2 soon to begin posting, "even I could rush for 1000 yards behind that line".

Did I mention the #decline?

Going to be interesting if Bama has too many turnovers in the passing game early on. Saban not going to like that.

Saban pushes Kiffin to stop throwing so much. Kiffin offensive strategy out the window with so many pass plays off limits. Bama ends up leaving D on field too much. Big guys tire out and give up yards and points.

Bama loses team identity and goes 9-3.

Bama only faces one legit defense this year, UF. The rest of them should be easy enough to put up points, and our defense should be stout.

Not Texas, one more shot at the NFL, it must be eating at him, take Kirby with him and get Lane the Bama job. Then his legacy is assured because he will screw it up. Then Kirby can come back with much less expectations. Win for Nick, win for Kirby, and well Lane is Lane. Lane leaves Bama and ends up coaching the Patriots or the Vols again.

Not going to happen, but would be entertaining on here.

Schedule 2014
Date Opponent Result / Time
8/30 vs. West Virginia 2:30 CT
9/6 vs. Florida Atlantic 11:00 CT
9/13 vs. Southern Miss 5:00 CT
9/20 vs. Florida TBA
10/4 at 18 Mississippi TBA
10/11 at Arkansas TBA
10/18 vs. 21 Texas A&M TBA
10/25 at Tennessee TBA
11/8 at 13 LSU TBA
11/15 vs. Mississippi State TBA
11/22 vs. Western Carolina TBA
11/29 vs. 6 Auburn TBA

9-3 seems a little harsh even with Bama getting a new QB. They will just go back to the standard ground and pound with superior talent.
