I predict he'll get fired after 3 or 4 years having never even made a bowl game.
Remind me of how on earth he got hired again?

5+ years.
Bowls in years 2-whenever.
Lower expectations, different situation.
I think that he ends up staying there until he chooses to leave honestly. If he gets a QB and some breaks on the recruiting trail, there's no telling when that might be.

Why do you want everyone to lose their job??

I just don't see how anyone would want him as their head coach. He just seems like the most unpleasant person in the world. I know you're not looking for a teddy bear to be your head coach but he seems like a complete a-hole. Can't stand him.

2 years and half way through the 3rd.
He leaves SC to become the DC at LSU with Jimbo as HC. Mike's retires and a statue is built for his 2 NCs.

Excuse me LewDawg but I'm not from the school that just fired the best coach in school history. You are.

If he fails to produce wins he'll be gone in 4 years. Some of y'all seem to think we are okay with 3-6 win seasons. The expectations are lower here, but we aren't Kentucky or Vandy.
I think most of us would be content with 8-9 wins a year with competing for the East every now and then. And I think that's a fair expectation after Spurrier has shown what we can be with lazy arse recruiting.
I just don't think Muschamp is the guy, but he's sold everyone here. Including the players.

Yeah we've never gotten a big name coach. Can't remember the last big name coach we've gotten.
We got fricked over by bigger profile jobs opening (Georgia, VT, Southern Cal)

If Jimbo leaves FSU for LSU I will be shocked.
And I'm saying that as somebody who loves the prospect of Jimbo leaving FSU myself. Believe me UF fans would like that as much as LSU fans do.

Well, he did have an 11-win season and was co-SEC coach of the year. Left McElwain with enough talent to win the East, so his recruiting was never the real issue.
Also, his defenses always played well - South Carolina has been very poor on defense the last few years. Really, the defenses he's coached have been good everywhere he's been aside from Auburn last season.

Didn't try to imply that at all.
Tell me they aren't lower than Florida's though.
I'm saying when he wins 7 in year two and possibly a bowl, he'll get his 4 easy.

I think Florida fans are worried he might actually be successful (by South Carolina standards. 7-9 wins a year) here.
