I don't think it matters if he burns his RS. He will probably only be at Mizzou for 3 years.

I just don't see Lock playing this year. We are talking about Gary Pinkel who is fiercely loyal (stubborn) to the starting QB. He played Mauk with a semi-dislocated shoulder, including intermittent bouts of puking, and he still wouldn't play a capable Printz or Zanders or even Berkstresser (who is a tough SOB).
I just don't think Lock plays this year or next, regardless of how well he is throwing at camp. Even though I would love to see a QB, any QB, throw better than 50%.
I trust Pinkel...and he trusts Mauk. That's all there is to it.

I tend to agree with this statement. I have trouble with Pinkel sitting any starting QB. But he's gonna play the best player. SEMO game will show us "something", I assume.

Wow. This is a major game changer. Huge decision to not RS the Frosh with all the depth at the position. It likely means he is the next breakout sensational star in the SEC.
