The SEC is going to be better this year than it has been in any of those years talent and coaching wise, and Tennessee did not add any NBA talent to their roster like most of the league did.

A lot of Tennessee's success this year will depend on is how long it takes for John Fulkerson to get back into the swing of things. If he can get involved early, and stay healthy (which are two big "ifs"), then Tennessee could be much tougher than last year.

LSU is awful at hoops. I can understand your discontent.

Why do some think Arkansas will be good? Do they have everyone back? Hot shot new freshmen? Just curious because I have not seen them rated highly anywhere. Not that I have been looking either.

Maybe he was saying Bama should be first tier (doubt it, but maybe)

I'd tier it off

First Tier
Kentucky
Florida
Texas A&M
Alabama

Second Tier
Arkansas
Ole Miss
Missouri
Georgia
Vanderbilt
Auburn

Third Tier
Tennessee
Mississippi State
South Carolina
LSU

Yea, I'm just going to have to see it to believe it with us. I feel good about things, but we love to go all Charlie Brown with the football, so I just can't get there yet.

Sweeping your rival doesn't dictate a successful season. Alabama was on the fringe of being a tournament team late in the season, until its loss to Georgia. Then made it to the
semi finals and played toe-to-toe with UK. I think a lot of people are sleeping on Auburn this year with the experience they have back, but Alabama will have a better team this season with the addition of Petty and Sexton.

Yea - we were 56th in KenPom and return the entire core of our roster + 2 of the top 25 freshmen in America. We are going to be better than last year, and better than last year means at the very least in the last 4 in first 4 out discussion (which would be a disappointment).
