If you want preseason respect you gotta recruit at a high level

I mean, look at us. We won 8 fricking games last year and people are putting us in he preseason top 25.

Yea, that seems like a stretch to me at this point (w/ Alabama and Missouri, and Alabama has some returning players + incoming recruits). However, with a roster as talented as Missouri's you have to expect the floor is at least 18+ wins and around a .500 record in the SEC.

Sleep on Carolina if you wish. I think Martin has earned benefit of the doubt at this point.

I have you guys finishing 12th in the league this year. I know what kind of fools gold Cuonzo is.

The tiers are in alphabetical order. That is why they are called tiers.

It's Monday.

Perhaps I did respond harshly.

I'd put us around 7th or 8th, but we will probably finish higher.

Not an excuse, at least your team won.

It is Monday and my team just lost by more than 30 points.

Cuonzo never finished lower than 5th at Tennessee. He hasn't finished lower than 8th in a conference since 2009 (that was a decade ago). He never finished with worse than a 11-7 record or 19 wins overall while at Tennessee. Cuonzo hasn't won less than 18 games since 2009 at Missouri State. He has won 20+ games 4 of his last 5 seasons.

You can pretty much write Cuonzo in for a 18-22 win, .500 or slightly better conference record season every year.

Yea, that's reasonable. It wouldn't surprise me if you did, either.

I sort of worry that Alabama is overhyped this year. Sexton and Petty make a really fun backcourt, but Sexton seems to play way too fast, which leads to turnovers and not getting the offense set. Also, Avery's teams seem to always struggle with perimeter defense.

I'm confident we'll make the postseason, but I'd wait to see if Key and Dazon progress any.

So Cuonzo is going to have his 2nd worst season in a decade of coaching with a team that has the #1 pick and a handful of other NBA players on it.

Well, maybe.

Yep. Thats what i said. He underachieved every year but one at Tennessee and every year at Cal. Considering Missouri only won 8 games last year I think 16 is being generous. As for the #1 player see LSU a few years back.

Tennessee fans seem to forget that the year he left Tennessee was the same year he made it to the Sweet 16.
