Everyone loves a good meltdown. I'll start us off with these:

quote:

when life handed les lemons, he used a knife dripping with AIDS to cut open the eyeballs of the fanbase, then squeezed those lemons on the cuts

quote:

" Les you could have scooped up two turds out of Mike the Tigers cage rubbed them on your face and as and made sandcastles with the shot residue then took a dump on the side of the road and smeared it together in the form of gumby and then hired the shitty gumby as DC and come out better than Kevin the nutcase nutsack steele. I DONE....WHERE IS THE TYLENOL"

What have you guys got?

Melting should have started the moment they allowed the DC to leave instead of the OC.

That's where you are wrong - if you don't have an offense then you don't really have an offensive coordinator - so all we really had to get stolen was our DC

Just found this gem.

quote:

Ok, so admittedly still not an insider but I did tell you guys from Day 1 that aside from all the other nonsense and misinformation that was being thrown about Steele was one of Les' top choices.

I posted this before and I'll do so again now, but there was a major dogfight for Steele's services several years ago and Saban got him. According to some former LSU players under Saban who are now in the coaching business Saban has a lot of trust and faith in Steele. A LOT. When he wants to bounce defensive ideas off someone he goes to Steele, not Smart. Saban has been quietly pimping Smart as a HC so he could promote Steele to DC.

I wasn't joking earlier when I posted that everyone would be scratching their heads if we hired Smart and Saban promoted Steele to DC. Les just gut punched Saban.

I'm not excited about the hire, but there is more to this than meets the eye. Les searched for the right hire and after interviewing a lot of people he went back to his gut instinct and hired Steele.

Go fill the defense with 4 and 5 star recruits and we're going to be fine.

Now go and find a quarterback

I guess Saban is retard for paying this Bum right at 1 mill a year? The same guy that helped orchestrate the last few #1 recruiting classes? We traded Scheme for Recruiting obviously. Of course Arky posters talk shite........their former DC just helped Ohio St. win a National Championship

Pathetic.

Having direct knowledge of his suckness through FSU, Clemson, and in general, this was and is the absolute worst hire possible.

Pick any name mentioned previously and his is the worst. How can the like of Del Rio (never gonna happen), Smart, Shoop, Stoops, and so onbe mentioned and THIS is the hire?

Completely pathetic.

And the timing tells me that ABSOLUTELY no one else wanted it. Not the Oregon guy(who sucks too). Not the OSU guy (Fickle). Not anyone.

There could not have been a more ridiculous hire than this one. Complete joke.

Can only hope we got him on the cheap. If he fleeced us for anything over 1mill, we got robbed!

This is the kind of hire failure that sees the end of Les at LSU.

Program Killer.

LSU is nothing special except to LSU people. To anyone else we are no different then Miss. St. Ole Miss, Arkansas, or Missouri.. Once you learn this you will know that LSU isn't the holy grail of college football and not expect really good coaches who are happy where they are presently coaching to leave their job to coach here.

It's just all so fricking lazy. Oh see, he's connected to Saban, so when we hire him and he shits the bed we can just have that as an out. Not an ounce of effort into trying to seek out actual hungry innovative types, who may be unproven and an ACTUAL gamble somewhat. We'll just take this tired washed up retread cause it will look "safe" and move on with our fingers crossed that he doesn't shite the bed.

So fricking lazy.

From Guilbeau article today:

quote:

The hire was not popular with most LSU fans on the various call-in shows or on Twitter Thursday.
"Just a sad day in the Red Stick," tweeted one LSU fan. "The decline is real. I have tried to give the benefit of the doubt. This will end it."
