I love stadiums and their history. It's always interesting to me to see how they grow over time, and I just don't know much about others' besides BDS.

1929 original (temporary wooden bleachers in end zones)- 6,000

1937 expansion (East grandstand)- 18,000

1950 expansion (added rows to East and West grandstands; no pic)-25,000

1961 expansion (East and West grandstands complete)- 43,000

1966 expansion (Lower bowl complete)- 60,000

1988 expansion (West Upper)- 70,123

1998 expansion (East Upper)- 83,813

2006 expansion (North Upper)- 92,012

2010 expansion (South Upper)- 101,821

Faurot Field - got most of these from the Mizzou Archives..sorry I couldn't find many actual pics on google, so a lot are just the section plans

1925 construction and seating plan

1949 expansion rendering and seating plan

1961 east and west additions (just a blueprint, couldn't find pics. basically they just added seats to the northern part of the east and west stands if that makes sense)

1963 southwest addition (again no pics, top left shaded area is where they added the seats)

1965 southeast addition

1978 south addition (completed the horseshoe that we have now)

then the current bowl minus the new press box

and our current stadium

and lets not forget our expansion plans

1914 - Moved to current location(2nd oldest currently-used football field in all of FBS)
1920 - Named Scott Field after Bulldog olympic runner
1928 - 3,000 permanent seats added(first permanent seating)
1936 - West side lower level built(yes, the same current lower level that we are fully renovating in this expansion FOR THE FIRST TIME in 75 years) - capacity 20k
1948 - East side lower level built - capacity 36k
1986 - West upper deck built - capacity 40,656 (YES, we went 48 YEARS with the stadium untouched -- and we wonder how we fell behind?)
2002 - East upper deck and sky boxes completed - capacity 55,086
2012 - Work begun horseshoeing the north endzone - capacity 62k
future - Footings going in for all this now. Will take eventual capacity well over 80k...

Record attendance at Kyle is 90,079 on November 20th, 2010 for the Nebraska game.
Official capacity is 82,589.
I'm guessing we will approach a new record this September.

Great thread JDM. Love seeing these kind of things. I couldn't find every single expansion, but here is what I gathered up.

1948 - Capacity- 7,500

1955 - Capacity- 34,500

1970- Capacity - 61,261

1980 - Capacity, 72,169

1987-Present 85,214 to 87,451( minor changes in 2000 and 2003 to bump it up 2,000 more.)
