Nick Saban Says Rivals Are Using His Age to Recruit Against Him

What I have noticed is that it's the first time people are starting to say to recruits, "He won't be there the whole time you're there," because of my age.

Not much else you could use against him other than playing time.

You should hear what other coaches tell recruits about Butch Jones.

an excellent backhanded way of bragging....and it's 100% accurate.
I can't think of a bigger compliment to pay an opposing coach.

I'd imagine any coach Saban's age faces the same type of "negative recruiting." But I highly doubt it's a very effective pitch.

Saban appears to be in excellent shape for his age. Pair that with his obsessive pursuit of football and I'm not sure how well the negative recruiting would work. Seems more likely to just remind recruits that Saban has been around a long time and isn't going to get fired.

Funny because recruits have said on record that Bama is one of the worst offenders when it comes to negative recruiting

Actually it's sad that with all that success you still have to talk shite about other teams/ schools. If I was Nick Saban I wouldn't say a word about any team outside of Tuscaloosa, I'd just open up my case of rings and point to one of those stupid posters with all the NFL draft busts on it.

What the frick else can they use against him in recruiting the nation's top talent?

Poor faciltiies?
Lack of player development?
Shitty fan support?
Mediocre win record?
Piss poor job of getting them to the pro's?
No chance of competing for championships?

Oh, Nick's getting on up there in age!

Sometimes can't even put a sentence together from what I hear. Anyways, here's some coupons for free cheddar biscuits. Hope we see you in red and blue next fall"
