Arkansas is the better program but I still downvoted because this is a stupid thread and I'm grumpy about it being the offseason.

I think it was Bill Hicks that said Missouri is the only state Arkansas can make fun of.
Mizzou is fricking worthless. Plus that camera angle you gotta watch their games from because the stadium is so bush league.

If you want to do the numbers the last decade, it's not even close in favor of Mizzou.

Historically speaking, its definitely Arkansas.
However, Mizzou has been the better program in recent decades, IMO.
All-time, Arkansas ranks #19 according to the AP. That compares to Missouri at #32. But if you look back since 2000, Missouri is actually #28 while Arkansas has fallen back to #36.
Arkansas is the better program all-time, but Mizzou is in striking distance. I mean Mizzou is just one division title away from equaling the number of division titles Arkansas has... and the Hogs had a 20-year jump.

Arkansas benefited from sharing a conference with just Texas. Once A&M got good, Hogs bolted. Mizzou, on the other hand, shared a conference with Nebraska and Oklahoma, both superior programs to Texas at that time. That made it harder for Mizzou to build a consistent program.
So if Mizzou had been in the SWC, and Arkansas was in the Big8, I feel things would look a little different.

It's recognized for both Alabama and Arkansas.
