Mrs. Sumlin posted this image of hate mail they supposedly received.

Upvote if you think this is legitimate hate mail sent by an angry fan.

Downvote if you think this letter is somehow staged or fake.

Not trying to be that guy but the post office marks a stamp so you can't reuse it. Just saying

Do people who send hate mail typically include a return address?

Such remarkably beautiful hand writing for a racist Texas redneck, I must say.

An angry fan would send a manifesto if he was able to construct sentences.

A typical racist would not be able to use "you're" properly.

I'd love for someone to find a piece of paper Mrs. Sumlin has written and have a handwriting expert compare it to the note in question.

Chicken really hates when people use the upvote/down votes as polls. Just FYI.

Are there racist college football fans for every team? Absolutely! Do I believe this note is authentic though? I'm very skeptical of it because of the timing.

Had A&M won or this came out before the season, I'd think it was much more likely to be legit.

What really bothers me is that I truly do not know anyone who would even consider writing a letter to a coach like that. If you were mad enough to write a letter, I would assume you would have elaborated more on your disapprovals that just drop the N-bomb. That's middle school juveniles that would be that simple minded.

That's not how an envelope tears apart naturally.

Also, why the bar code on the bottom like it is Business Reply envelope from the 90's?

The whole thing adds up to bullshite.

Apparently they do if they want to implicate the Houston Country Club?

And she misspelled the return address. It's 1 P-O-tomac. Not patomac. The postmark is missing. Then the "or else" is put in there as an afterthought. Like it was too nice, even though it dropped the N-word. So they spiced it up. It reeks of fakeness.

News to me... Most forums have built in poll support, can't blame people for making do with what we have.

I thought the whole thing was fake, but I went and knocked on the door of the return address listed and John Chavis opened the door eating a donut in his tighty whities. Apparently there is some finger pointing going on.

Could this have been written by an Aggie? Absolutely. But there is a lot about it that seems strange. I would love to know who actually did it, especially if it is an Aggie, so that they could be shamed into oblivion.

Is it me or does the way the letter folded show that it won't fit in that envelope.

With that single crease the bottom part of the "letter" won't fit into that envelope.

Also, that address is in the Houston Country Club which was entirely under water last week. Mail is completely bogged down in Houston. I live in Cypress and have received very little mail in the last two weeks. I really don't think that if that letter was mailed Monday from the middle of Houston that it would have even been delivered by Thursday.
