His bread and butter has been his defense and with Smart now gone, Kiffin's name being thrown around to other vacancies, wouldn't surprise me if he retired. He's not taking another college job IMO.

I would think that line was mis worded. It's probably meaning that more defensive staff of Sabans take other jobs, therefore he could possibly get a call.

Was supposed to be a great recruiter but even that, in his best years, is now being called-into question.
He may do well at Bama as a recruiter though - I wish Whammy well.
