Do you think CFP playoff committee should switch to 8 teams?
I like the 4 team playoff way more but they keep pushing the narrative about 8 teams. I think we are getting closer to 8 teams because teams are getting "left out". I really hope we keep the 4 team system and not switch too fast. I feel like Ohio State and Penn State are both deserving but there was no way to have the both in.

Yes. Auto bids to all 5 conferene champions and 3 at large and a rule that is a G5 team is ranked in the top 5 or 10 they get one of the at large slots. Gives everybody deserving a shot including the G5.

I think the 8 team playoff gets rid of most of the political infighting. Yes, in an 8 team format there will still be bitching about who is 7 & 8 but that is minor compared to what we have now.
Go to 8 teams as follows:
P5 conference game winners
three at large teams based on rankings.
play first round week after CG's and then go to bowl format like we have now for last two rounds.
The 4 team format has neutered conference championships and gone back to what it looked like back when we had the old AP and UPI NC's. Even the BCS was better than this.

Starts to get too watered down if you keep expanding. The great thing about this sport is every game matters so much. Expand to 8 and 3 loss teams will start getting in. Keep it at 4.. MAYBE 6 with the 5 champs and 1 at large

It's not up to the committee to decide on expansion vs remaining a 4 teams
