Is it true that players can freely transfer if school gets 2 year bowl ban?
I know scholly limits are the worst, but player defections could be pretty bad too.
Once it all unfolds, this is at least a ten year setback for the program....

Why in the world would you think players would want to leave Oxford and all of the scandal-free reasons that brought them there in the first place?

Leave Oxford? What? Are you insane? You do know it is "Heaven on Earth"? Why do you think all of these recruits from others states go there? Have you not seen their "beautiful campus"? They have "The Grove", man, the Grove!!!!

Yep, by now they've all walked barefoot in the Grove. They're not going anywhere.

*edited to correct the atrocity of not capitalizing the Grove.

Something tells me that if a poll was done today it would be ranked the most depressing campus in the U.S. Winning!!!

Name a better situation that they should go to?

Live in Oxford, go to a great school like Ole Miss, still play each Saturday in the best conference in the nation, still have NFL scouts watch them every week, and play with nothing to lose.

Too many factors or possibilities to speculate. I believe players are free to transfer without sitting out a year if they go on probation. Probably depends on the number of post season bans they get and who on the coaching staff remains. It probably also will depend on how many years a player would have to play under sanction. I could see a new kid moving on but someone with only 1 year remaining might stick it out.

Too lazy to look up the rule.

But I think it is if the postseason ban is more or equal than your years of eligibility you can transfer without sitting out a year.

So a 2 year bowl ban allows all juniors and seniors to transfer. All freshman and sophomores would have to sit out 1 year.

The other great thing about living in Oxford is you don't have to worry about being accountable for your actions. The norm there is just to blame it on everyone else.

Why would they leave with all of the money and free stuff we throw around?

That's Valpo.

As for your situation, Tuscaloosa County Community College IQ scores cannot drop any further, unfortunately.

From the penalty matrix they are getting a minimum 2 year bowl ban. Players will most assuredly transfer. I'm sure Ole Miss is trying to delay as much as possible to get everything pushed into the Fall so that the players wont have time to transfer out before this season begins

Yea, some of their better players might be able to get a better more discrete deal at Auburn.

Why leave? Their seasons are now (basically) 1 game and 20 practices shorter for at least 1 more season (probably more).

They will spend the time walking barefoot in The Grove when other teams have to practice and play in bowl games. I'm sure it's like Nirvana.
