Games than can either signal #tDecline or #tIncline.

One big one in Alabama's history:

Alabama vs. USC 1970 - Alabama had set up a series with the men of Troy that some say the Bear staged in order to show the physical and mental toughness the black athlete brought to the sport of football. An effort that supposedly he hoped would show the south what they were missing. That USC team featured a Hall of Famer you might know as Sam BAM Cunningham. They ran all over Alabama and crushed them 42-21 with 500+ yards of offense. Birmingham natives were videoed applauding USC as they left, because they knew the racially equal, and physically superior team won that day. McKay had done Bryant a favor. This game was ultimately the catalyst for Alabama to break racial barriers, not just in the state, but in other places as well.

Hmmm.... Archie going off against Bama in 1969 in the nations first televised primetime game was pretty big.

Loss to Navy in '84 is probably our biggest.

Win vs Bama in 2010 along with Florida same year.

Win vs NM State (yep) in 2000 to end our 0-21 streak. Tore down the goal posts and everything. We had gone 0-8 in tSEC in 1999 and ended up going a respectable 5-3 in conference play in 2000.

Win over Clemson in '09 was pretty big too. Along with 2012 arse whooping of Georgia. A lot of our "big" wins have come very recently.

They were all benched though. It was just socially unacceptable.

Bama 2012 won Manziel the Heisman and really put us on the national spotlight, so that was pretty big.

Upsetting #1 Nebraska and #1 KSU in the same season on our way to the 1998 Big XII title.

Losing to Colorado in the second or third game of 1995 when we were ranked #3 and expected to run the table in a weak SWC.

Losing to Arkansas in the last game of 1975 the weak after beating #5 Texas. We would have played for the national title in the cotton bowl had we won.

Probably some LSU fan that got lost and ended up here today. It happens from time to time.

I don't think they would have run the table due to a certain other team in that conference being what they were

In recent LSU history, the 2001 SECCG when LSU upset #2 Tennessee after losing our starting qb in the second quarter stands out. I have been at every major LSU athletic event that any LSU fan would list as LSU's best since 1960 and I can say unequivocably that the LSU fans in the GA Dome that night were more ecstatic than LSU fans at any NC game or any CWS championship game were. I have come to believe that game/season changed how LSU saw our program in the SEC and nationally. We've never been the same since.
