Pinkel says he won't accept a bowl invite at 5-7.

Classy move. 5-7 teams don't deserve a bowl game.

Kind of thought he said it was up to the AD postgame. I must have misunderstood him.

Too bad fans will miss out on their compelling brand of ball.

You'll have to excuse Stonehog. He's trying to disguise another UK thread (who could potentially accept a bowl bid at 5-7 if they lose to UofL) so he doesn't get called on it. Again.

Has something to do with not enough teams to fill bids and what not. I haven't really kept up with it. Kentucky would take it if it's available though, if for nothing else than the month of practices.

Apparently that makes them "not classy".

keeps bowl money out of the SEC pot.
Does that mean Mizzou should be taken out of that pot if they decide to do that?

Based on current projections, there will not be enough 6 win teams to fill all the bowl slots, which means two things:

1) Some 5-7 teams will get invites

2) There are too damned many bowls

I am starting to think Catfan kicked Stonehog in the nuts and questioned his manhood while dropping the mike. He is so rustled and this is such a response thread

Any program that takes a bowl bid at 5-7 is a JOKE.

Pinkel knows it and that's why he's been quoted before today saying 5-7 teams don't deserve it.

If you're not a traditional football program and you're not going to lose a ton of money going, then why should anyone give a frick?

Ironically it's more money in the bowl pot for everyone else in the conference.

Screw that. If it is a joke and we go to one, so be it. We need more practice time.

Thanks I didn't know that. I thought 5-7 teams were ineligible unless they win their conference

whats the math at right now?

it looks like Washington will get to six wins so long as they dont completely collapse and that was one of the games that was probably being counted as a loss for a 5-6 team.

lol your lack of football knowledge is bursting through.

ANY team that takes a bowl at 5-7 should have to practice in full pink unis.

If you have a young team in a program you're trying to build up, why wouldn't you take the extra month of practices unless you're losing a ridiculous amount of money to attend the bowl?

You're as functionally retarded as the OP.

100 years ago pink was considered a manly color.

practicing in pink would be bringing it back to the old days of manly men who wore almost no pads, you could legally punch a player in the face, and everyone smoked and drank on the sidelines.

Exactly.

For some reason the Kentucky folk think this has something to do with them. Even though they aren't 5-7.

I guess they don't have a lot of confidence in their chances tomorrow.
