If a receiver initiates the contact, or isn't actually trying to run a route, that, by definition of the rules, is a pick. The announcers even agreed.

I never want to hear Alabama fans bitch about LSU fans complaining about the refs again.

Ugh what's the point in this? Don't embarrass yourself trying to find a moral victory.

I don't know what a pick play, pi, hold, targeting or a catch even is anymore. (Especially In The NFL) it is what we the refs say it is

At least it's been established by everyone, not just whining Bama fans, that both of the short TD passes were illegally run.
I would expect rules reviews to be made this summer.

Come one man if our QB could reliably hit 15-20 us passes or our receivers wouldn't have dropped several passes when given the opportunity Bama wins that game. We got outplayed by a more complete team. We lost that game exactly like we won it the year before.

But, but, but...Bama fans are gracious and accepting of the loss. Only LSU fans complain about the refs!

Looks to me that Bama DB dragged the alleged picker down. Interference?

It was at least as obvious as the holding calls on Hurts' TD run against LSU.

Why would you DB initiate a pick? Who coaches that group?

26 clearly initiates contact. As soon as the ball is snapped he attempts to jam the receiver with his right hand.
