Wouldn't be a bad selection. Bringing Virginia Tech in would add another very good rivalry for Tennessee. Particularly for those of us that live in Appalachia

However, we don't need to expand again. We shouldn't have this last time around (and that's no offense to you or A&M -- I would feel the same about any 2 teams)

West Virginia and Clemson.

Then the SEC would have all the flagship institutions in their footprint outside of Texas.

The old guard would never allow this as Arkansas would win their pod in all major sports every year.

This means teams would be bragging about winning their pods and hanging pod championship banners in their stadiums?

Only in Mississippi and by those who have HCs who don't win bowl games.

Bring in N.C. State and VA Tech.

West Division:

Texas A&M
Missouri
Arkansas
LSU

North Division:

Kentucky
Tennessee
Vandy
Virginia Tech

South Division:

Alabama
Auburn
Ole Miss
Miss. State

East Division:

Georgia
Florida
South Carolina
N.C. State

If you don't bring in VA Tech and bring in Georgia Tech instead, then move N.C. State to the North Division and Georgia Tech into the East Division.

I made the groups with basketball in mind as well.

And didn't Missouri just beat Arkansas in football last year?

So you put the only two decent basketball programs in the SEC in one pod, then drag down their RPIs with awful VT and Mizzou programs?

I guess you missed North Carolina in the Central and Florida in the coastal?

And Actually, I'd say the Central would be the toughest basketball division top to bottom

UNC isn't leaving Duke, NC State, and Wake.

The SEC isn't making room for these four.

Billy Donovan isn't walking through that door.
