1. Clemson
2. LSU
3. Ohio St.
4. Michigan St.

Baylor/TCU need to play somebody. Their schedules are backloaded but SOS is going to hurt them again.

3) Michigan State
4) Ohio State

I'm very confident that will be the top 4, in some order. LSU could be 1, with Clemson 2.

5) TCU
6) Notre Dame
7) Alabama
8) Baylor
9) Florida
10) Stanford

Florida will be ahead of Alabama. I think Iowa will be in the top 10.

Let's keep in mind that Condoleezza Rice is on the selection committee. Literally anything can happen. I expect the rankings to be a huge "what the frick" for most people this week

They absolutely should be.

Better schedule, better loss, and a better record than Alabama between common opponents.

However, I think the committee might use the bullshite "eye test" to move Alabama higher.

ETA: Of course, the committee really proved last year that they don't care about eye test. So I agree, Florida may be higher.

But then does that bump Baylor down to 9? I really think the committee is going to shite on Baylor hard.

It dont matter...wont watch...waste of time. Last years first time selections? 3 out of the four werent there at the end. A lot of football left and tougher matchups in general. By end of November the landscape will have changed. Doesnt matter if LSU wasnt even in top four tonight....everyone with zero or 1 loss has chance to make up ground quickly.

Media & soap sellers just want everyone clucking like hens and they make $$

She may be one of the smartest, best qualified on the committee. She knows football better than most may think.

Agreed. I think a lot of people will be shocked when they see Michigan State ranked ahead of tOSU but I really see nothing wrong with this.

Of course OSU is better than MSU but the committee judges a team by their resume for only this season and only up until this week.

I think it will be:
1.) Clemson
2.) LSU
3.) Mich St.
4.) TCU

And people will melt because that will not look anything like their project playoff bracket but this is most likely the ranking of where these teams belong to-date if the season ended today.

Baylor should be ahead of Notre Dame and Alabama. Arguably TCU. Other than that, I can see a case made for the rest of the group.

Baylor should in no way be above TCU. Their schedule is awful.

I think the committee makes them pay for it.
