And, please, leave out the one liners and the Auburn remarks. Auburn has a proud history and the Iron Bowl is one of the SEC's most prized traditions. The Tigers ain't going to the East.

I just listened to the "JC and Morgan" podcast. It looks as if it is only a matter of time until Oklahoma is part of the SEC West.

Now, with ACC teams tied down and prospering, who would y'all recommend to add to the East. It ain't gonna be easy.

Comments please:

ECU. They'd dominate the East.

The East is about as JV of a division as it gets.

From most to least want:
Florida State
Georgia Tech
Clemson
West Virginia
Miami
Louisville
North Carolina
Virginia Tech
Memphis

For the west:
Texas is really the only team I'd actually want, but if we have to add more
Tulane
Oklahoma
TCU
Houston
La Tech
ULL
Baylor
Texas Tech
OK State
Kansas State
Kansas

OK OP, I'm not going to mention it, but Auburn could go to the east and still play Bama every year.

They should have been in the east all along.

Just because it's worse than the West? lol

The East has been shite since 2014. Yes.

2011-2013 the east was pretty good, just not better than the west. Somehow makes it JV

I have thought about them. And they have most of the prerequisites. While that would be a terrific road trip, it is kind of difficult to get to.

But the school does have nearly 28,000 students, a 50,000-seat stadium.

But the nearest direct connection airport is Raleigh, some 50-60 miles away.

If the SEC adds teams, it will be one from Virginia, either Va or Va Tech, and NC State.

I would then assume the Va school would be in the east and NC State in the west, unless they shuffle Missouri to the west.

All bullshite aside, I think ECU is a very underrated choice for expansion.

Why would you assume the western most of those two teams would be in the east and the eastern most of those teams would be in the west

Obviously you move Missouri is that even a question

UVA or VT would add the DC television market. That will factor into the SEC's decision. The problem with any ACC school is the ridiculous buyout the ACC has stipulated now.

ECU would be a horrible choice. While somewhat adequate in football, basketball is useless.
Plus, they have a very small, relatively speaking, fan base. I doubt there a many outside Greenville that really care for them or bother watching their games on TV.
