A snake potentially hanging out with an even bigger snake.

Shocking.

Mitch wont do it, makes to much sense. While Petrino himself didn't say it, it does kinda put Mitch in a corner. If he doesn't at least interview him, fans will be howling for blood.

It would be interesting. He could win 7 or 8 games a year and make UK fans content.

Another reminder of why I don't read KSR.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Bobby's coaching isn't fit for the SEC. Reasons: 1. Didn't pay enough attention to defense. 2. Couldn't compete with Saban. 3. He's never had fewer than 2 SEC losses. 4. Offense was easily shut down by elite secondaries and/or defenses.

You are more right than wrong, but how did he fare against USCe and Steve Spurrier?

FWIW, the UK hatred of Pitino has died down a little since Cal got here. But frick Pitino.

Except for you, huh?

Cal > Pitino every day. That is why UK fans have calmed down on Pitino, we have a better coach now.

I heard that on the radio as well. It's just Petrino reminding folks he's out there. I can't imagine he would really consider UK, he will have better offers.
However, I think he still has a daughter at UL, so maybe that would factor in.

ahh, the haters. Cal has never been guilty by the NCAA for anything. Have facts before you post. It makes everyone's day better.

Emphasis on ELITE defenses and secondaries.
2011 LSU and 2011 Alabama were elite, South Carolina was not. We're not elite this year either. We let Tennessee torch us at our place. We let LSU run all over us until they got in the red zone.

Good TenTex trolling on the hate with Cal. Simmer down TenTex, you'll always have the SEC Tourney banner to look at.

You're telling me Kentucky shouldn't hire Petrino because he couldn't topple 2 of the best defenses in the universe last year?

Who did, exactly?

Wouldn't that eliminate everyone outside of Nick Saban/Les Miles from their coaching search?

Kentucky would be very lucky to get Petrino. Buy low.

While the elder Petrino would like to see his son land at Kentucky, which announced Sunday that Joker Phillips would not return next season, Yahoo Sports! reported the same day the Wildcats would not consider hiring Petrino.
