If he didn't take phone calls from the local village idiots. I actually enjoy the rest of the show. Surely he would get a bigger and perhaps national audience if he moved away from that format. Has he ever had a serious format?

I think a lot of it is fake.
I am familiar with one Auburn caller from another group that isn't near as "out there" as the phone calls make them sound.
I honestly think some of it is scripted. I could be wrong.

I don't see how someone can sit there and listen to that boring man for four hours a day.
The SEC Network is good for nothing more than catching your team on a week they're playing a powder puff opponent.

You are correct.
A few years ago a regular caller died IRL and during the memorials other regular callers dropped their act and it came out that they were scripted and paid

It's pretty obvious that they want outrageous callers.
That is what makes the show. It is also the part that makes it unbearable for me...but it pulls ratings so it won't change.

SEC Network should just can him. He's so awkward on GameDay and SEC Nation segments. He has so many cringe-worthy moments and it's obvious a lot of the College Analysts at ESPN don't like him. Also fire Booger McFarland while they're at it.
ESPN would be better off doing a daily show like BYU Sports Nation on BYUtv.
