Dye still believes UGA is AUs biggest rival.

He's just tweaking the Alabama fans who claim Tennessee is their biggest rival.

I have a hard time thinking most Auburn fans will want to run.

I just want to get back to the days of playing Tenn and Florida every year again. We had some great games, and now we are stuck having to go out to Mizzou and Texas. In a perfect scenario we play in the east and play the Iron Bowl.

Hell, wasn't there a picture of Alabama and Auburn players standing by each other last year?

It isn't the players or the coaches.

Just two examples...

I don't give a shite about either one of them but Alabama and Tennessee is a longstanding rivalry and used to be a respectful one and might could be again. Alabama and Auburn didn't play for some 30 years or so and I doubt there ever was much respect about it. The Alabama legislature forced the game. Without it Auburn would have been another UAB but down on the farm. Screw Auburn.

I get it...
I think moving Auburn to the east would be fine and makes sense.
Makes even more sense for Missouri.

I agree. I like the UA/LSU rivalry more anyway.

Since he played for UGA, I think he believes the rivalry is based on a different level of hate (respect ?) than the AU-UA rivalry.

From the article: “We don’t need to let Alabama dictate what we do at Auburn,” he said. “We can play them on a rotation, just like everybody else.”

Who frick is dictating anything? Typical red arsed Aubie. Always blaming Bama for their issues. Move to the fricking East if you can get the votes. First it was "We won't play in Birmingham. it's unfair. Bama doesn't tell us what to do."

Now its move to the East and screw the Iron Bowl. You didn't hear him bitching before Saban got there. He wants to move to the East to get away from Saban.

I agree. I don't want the Alabama fanbase on our campus.

I can see it now, AU goes East and plays Bama on rotation.
Either UF,Vols or UGA beats them enough to keep them out of Atlanta. They become USCe #2.

They will always be second class, it is their nature.

Relax, Aubies. Saban can't coach forever. Eventually he'll leave and Bama will seem like mortals again. Don't run. Stay and fight...........you know, like men. Don't forget, after all, that UGA is in the East. And you probably have a better record in the last decade vs Bama than you do vs UGA.

I agree. frick Alabama. It's best for us to move to the east. If we can keep the Iron Bowl every year, great. If we don't and it becomes a casualty, so be it. Pat Dye wants what's best for Auburn, and so do I. Dye stuck it in Bear Bryant's arse after Bryant said the game would never be moved. Auburn is the better for it. I will always respect coach Dye for that.

Something I think the Awbs either are forgetting or don't want to admit is a ton of their season ticket sales are Bama fans buying for the Iron Bowl. It was well known that Auburn wasn't selling all their tickets until the game went on campus.

I'd be fine with it going to regular rotation but the State isn't going to let that happen.

Looks like it's gotten too hot up in here for the farmers. ///as Jerry Clower would say: "Just shoot up in here amongst us...one of us got to have some relief."

Yeah, something about Bama going 4-1 in the last 5 years (7-3 in the last decade) has a way of easing some of that vitriol.

We saw it during the TT "fear the thumb" campaign.

bullshite. AU fans have better season ticket sales when Bama and UGA is on the home schedule compared to LSU, ARK and A&M. AU always sold out the games with TN and UF when they were on the home schedule. That is why the move makes sense to the AU PTB.
