After beginning a nearly $500 million expansion of Kyle Field in late 2013, Texas A&M encountered a surprisingly bothersome opponent during the 2014 season -- and we're not talking about ULM.
The Houston Chronicle reported Monday that Texas A&M is nearly finished providing additional steel reinforcement to Kyle Field's new south end zone stands after they shifted unsettlingly during the Aggies' loss to LSU. Officials said fans weren't in any danger and that the movement came within established safety parameters, but that the school received enough complaints that it felt reinforcement was necessary.
The culprit? According to project manager Craig Kaufman of architectural firm Populous, none other than infamous/beloved stadium techno standard Sandstorm.
"It's very technical, but the particular frequency [of Sandstorm] was the issue," Kaufman said.

I thought all stadiums were built up to techno codes.

Just another reason that song sucks. Hopefully it never becomes a thing at LSU.

"No danger."
"Within established safety parameters."
Works for me.

Aggies I know Sandstorm fits in with y'alls gayness and male cheerleaders but it was our thing first.
Stop trying to steal it

We only did it because it worked so well when we played you. I'm pretty sure the team had sandstorm Thursdays last year.

The whole country had sandstorm for a decade, discarded it, and then SC picked it up. We just played it last year bc the team found it relaxing at Brice.
As far as the stadium, it was designed to have some give but apparently some patrons were pussies. Vertical movement of a couple inches is nothing in a steel structure that size. The side to side sway of old Kyle was fricking terrifying though.

This whole thing should really be blamed on SC sucking, not on Craig or anyone else
