Good. Nobody should be able to restrict a student/athletes opportunities after they have graduated.

I'm not arguing about this anymore but recruiting in the sec will be interesting from now on.

The graduate transfers have always been allowed so I'm not real sure what you are talking about?

The only thing that made this one different is that Saban threw a hissy fit about it.

No. Not inside conference without either A) sitting out a year or B) having two years of eligibility remaining.

Other than Chris Black going from Bama to Mizzou, are there other cases of grads transferring within the conference? Legitimate question.

If it becomes 'common law' for these transfers to happens with no competition clause imposable by the original school, we may see a lot of shuffling in the years to come. We'll see.

Graduate transfers were not allowed within the sec. Coaches more or las respected this idea and would not actually pursue kids that were playing at colleges within the conference. I would think that this taboo has now been broken a lot of coaches will start to pursue good players who have undergraduate degrees from other sec schools. I don't think it's something that should have gotten started.

Stephen Rivers transferred from LSU to Vandy and was immediately eligible.

You mean like the majority of the NCAA that doesn't have dumb restrictions against graduate transfers?

No there's not.

Edited to add at least not players that played significant roles on their team.

The most important question is why would a starter on Nick Saban's defense want out of Alabama so bad?
