Some wanted Diaco, I thought at the 3-4 Rhoads would be better.

I think it's a very good hire. Not sure about his recruiting, but he is a good coach

Interesting. I like Rhoads. Probably won't have multiple guys run for over 1000 yards against y'all this year.

He's solid and good at fundamentals.

He is a players coach, also very very emotional. He would cry often at ISU. Kind of weird, but his players loved him. He was so likable he didn't win anything but ISU took years to finally drop the Ax. Great guy from all accounts.

Logic would dictate that he is a step back until he proves otherwise.
This wasn't a great hire. This was a promotion, because they couldn't keep the other guy nor get who they wanted.
