Could someone give me an overview of the team? Serious discussion on the rant I know. But I only watched a little bit of the auburn game. And it's always nice to hear from the fans perspective!

Offensively I believe you guys lost three starters on the o-line. Dak is passing more and they're giving him less carries. Y'all are somewhat missing Robinsons? production at RB spot? And that the receivers are solid led by Wilson.

Defensively I have no clue. I just know y'all lost a good LB McKinney who is now on the Houston Texans! :)

All I know is that this is the first home game of the season I'm excited about going to. Two ranked teams, night game...... Kyle Field will be rocking!

Robinsons?

He was only one person but he can count as 2 starters.

We do not have anyone worth mentioning except for Daks. And that is all you need to know.

We returned one starter from an overrated team last year that didn't beat anyone with a pulse.

We are shite.

Dak has been saving his legs for you guys. Against Auburn he has all the time in the world to make his passes. Why run when you can throw so efficiently?

Yeah Robinson chose to not stay because we are totally lacking at the RB position. In reality, a sad one, he was more likely told to take his chances. Now we just need some of the younger guys at RB to get more carries. Shumpert just isn't cutting it.

You will after this Saturday because your QB will spend a lot of time on his butt. Sacks, tackles for loss..get ready son.

That isn't any different from any other Aggie game this year...

The new offensive line is giving fairly good pass protection so far. Hard to tell about run blocking because we haven't really had a running back step up to take command yet. Even Dak is not doing much running these days.

Wilson is good, but Fred Ross is also having a really good year. I think Ross caught about a million passes a year in TX high school football days. Gabe Myles is a nice 3rd option in that group. The TE and 2nd teamers aren't bad options either.

We are missing a lot of defenders from last year, but Diaz seems to be getting the new guys into form. I think it will be a pretty salty group by year's end if the injury bug doesn't hit them too hard.

Serious answer:

Offense not as potent as last year but still formidable. Main area of decline seems to be the running game, both Dak and the RBs.

Passing game as good as any in the league, IMO.

Defensively, State is strong against the run, average to below-average against the pass.

Kickers lack long FG range/ability but otherwise ST is solid but not spectacular.

We pass heavy bc our team strength is Dak and our wr's. Our oline since the first half against lsu has been very good pass blocking... Only 1 sack.

On defense, we play to our strength which is red zone defense.... We only give up 28.6% td once a team gets in the RZ. We give up yards between the 20s, but really tighten up in the RZ. We get after the qb very well... 3rd in sec in sacks despite only playing 1 passing team (usm).

We've have benched our 2 best Rb's so far this season. It's been an ongoing enigma with the fanbase. So we don't really know how good our running game could be. We don't know when these guys are going to play, either. One has averaged 11 yards a carry in very limited action. Dak is throwing to increase his draft status. Our receiving corp is strong.

Our defensive game plan is somewhat functional, but gives up an enormous amount of yards. It's strength has been in the redzone. Our d-line is average, our secondary is getting better, and our LB's do most of the tackling.

It's hard to summarize our team in exact terms right now.

Whichever RB you run out there should have success against our D. I think we will focus on stopping the pass and trying to contain Dak.

Our OL will make your DL look good. Hoping Kirk can continue to bail them out. We really need our backup RB back too.

Did LSU even try to lass on State? Might be some skewed stats.

Mel Kiper believes we have the best CB in the country in Will Redmond- We have a 5 star guy Jamal Peters that can play opposite of him. Coman hasn't been doing an awful job this year either on the perimeter. I think we're the most disciplined, well coached defense in the league
