I just don't get it. You'd tgibk we would be a 5 or 6 bid league and this year we will be lucky to have 3 teams make the NCAA tourney.

Is it coaching? Is it lack of interest? Is it players not wanting to come play hoops in a football conference ???

I just don't see how sec basketball is so down ESP with the SEC network almost every game is on TV

It's not THAT bad. Every team in the SEC is top 100 RPI right now. It would be nice if we could keep that up but State is god awful.

basketball has changed. TV has had an impact, the SEC tourney, Nike, etc have changed the game. The two best teams in the SEC are at Kentucky.

Worse. Most fan bases resent their school's basketball program.

This.

1 and done needs to be changed to 3 years minimum. Teams were more balanced, and it was extremely rare you had rosters as stacked as UK's.

Seriously? You really think that's what "killed" college basketball? How many players leave after one year? Almost none.

So a bunch of UK's guys don't go one and done and you're blaming one and dones for the downfall of college basketball?

ETA: A 3 year minimum isn't going to keep the traditional powers from still recruiting 5-star kids and those who don't from all of a sudden getting a huge talent influx that will make that much of a difference.

And to answer Bundy, it's better than last season but the issue right now is coaching stability IMO. You have some guys who are still fairly new at some spots and inherited some pretty bad situations that don't get fixed in one season. Donovan, Cal, and Stallings may the only guys in the conference who aren't brand new/only a few years at their respective spots and wasn't on a hot seat coming into this season.

If you want to see truly down go look at the PAC. They're supposed to be a basketball conference and it really is Arizona and everybody else. At least the handful of SEC teams that get into the tournament make quality runs.

Clemson was 3-0 on their home floor. Where u play in basketball means nearly everything unless youre one of the top 5 elite programs

I thought LSU was back? It shouldn't ever matter where you play inferior Clemson... That's fricking embarrassing.
