Out-of-Division Win %: SEC West - 93%, all others below 74%

Also posted on Reddit. I found the out-of-division records for every P5 team and calculated the win %s for every conference. The SEC West is 39-3 (93%) and the second-place Pac-10 South is 29-10 (74%). I think it's the best proof of why all of the "who would win on a neutral field" rankings like Vegas Insider or Sagarin like the SEC West so much.

I didn't realize it was quite that dramatic a difference from everybody else. Thanks for the post.
The other key indicator, of course, is that for the first time ever 7 of 7 division teams are bowl-eligible. That's crazy.
I'm feeling guilty that Aggies are responsible for one of those 3, losing to those ruffians from Missouri. That stings a bit.

The West was 39-4 OOD at the same point in 2010, so the division this year is even better by that measure.
