Straight high school coach. Going for two, going for it on 4th down inside field goal range... He won't last at this level if he doesn't learn to take the easy points

The 2 pts worked and he doesn't trust his kicker from there

Chip did that stuff all of the time he is in the NFL now. You need a new talking point.

He doesn't trust his kicker from the 22 yard line? Sign me up. I can hit those then those cheerleaders

Yeah it works in a conference where no defense is played and the first to 60 wins. No way they ever win the big one with that trash

Well it works in their conference like you said, and winning the conference is important.

Then it won't work the next time and he's still at 14... Why not just take the points. If they ever don't get it on the first try then there's the pressure to get those points back and try it everytime... It's basically like playing the poker button on a blackjack table. You spend 65 dollars to win 50

It's called "expected value" and he's playing the mathematically correct choices

He coaches like it's the video game. Always has. Fits Oregon's bush leauguery nicely.

Early in the game you take the points. You only go for 2 when necessary.

Oregon almost always goes for 2.
