Personally I think our next targets need to be North Carolina and either Duke or Virginia.
However....
I say we also need to remove Mississippi State for being dead weight both athletically and academically.
Then kick out Missouri and Kentucky due to not actually being southern states.
Then we need to add Texas, Duke\Virginia (whichever dud not get added earlier), and either Florida State, Miami, Texas Tech, or Virginia Tech for the final spot.

I don't see Tejas being willing to join the SEC anyway, TBH. They may talk about it, but when it comes down to it? They like being the big fish in the pond, and their egos and sense of entitlement wouldn't allow them to make the move.

lol trust me it's just wishful thinking u will never see an sec logo on any texas uni. Aside from the fact that we already have a stake in the texas market they only wish they we're in the league because that logo on the A&M uni's is staring to frick them royally on the recruiting trail. Trust me the next time this league expands it will be into the states of NC and VA. The only way they go any further west is if they tried to get Oklahoma or Okie State.

There is an ongoing discussion on the Texas sites that they need to join the SEC.
So, what Texas site are you visiting? How many fans are discussing?
I'm pretty sure that I have contact with a lot more Texas fans than you and the general consensus is that the SEC is not a good fit for UT.
But Texas fans do agree that it was a good fit for A&M and we were glad to see you go. Aggies interpreted this as fear, like they had dominated Texas or something. No, it was like watching your obnoxious neighbors pack up their stuff and drive away. You were damn glad to be rid of them. There will be no more midnight yell practice in Austin and there will no longer be a parade of brown shirts on Congress Ave on game day.
So why have you good SEC folk allowed aggy to control the message over here? If SEC is nirvanna-land for college sports, why the need to constantly inject Texas in your conversation. I understand Aggies doing it - they will be looking over their shoulders for the next 20 years wondering about "tu".
But Texas is never going to be a member of the SEC so forget it.

I think that realistically at least 3 members would be dead-set against it, if not more. You aren't going to get the schools that have dealt with Texas in the past to sign on with them now.

Hell no on Texas. They had their chance to come over and were arrogant. TAMU took the chance to come over and are reaping the benefits. They are just afraid of what is happening.

I like A&M, been to a few games when I was stationed at Hood. Great having you guys in the SEC. University of Texas can go frick themselves they are never welcome I hope they get hit with the death penalty.

They wouldn't want in.

There is no way the SEC takes a team who does not own their first and second tier television rights for the next 12 years. Absolutely no way.

Which sites ? I can't find anything on Shaggy Bevo.

If you come over, and you have the urge to run your phenomenal pocket passer in the option against a defense that hits you so hard your mother winces, you might take a second to rethink it this time.
You know - just sayin.

Texas is the only school from Texas that would bring in enough revenue to justify splitting it more ways.
If they entered the SEC it would have to be as an equal partner - so under those circumstances they would be ok to bring in. Are they a definitively better add than a NC or Virginia school? Maybe not, but they would be a good financial addition.

Texas isn't a good fit IMO. I'm not necessarily in favor of more expansion but if it happens I hope for UNC and one of the Virginia schools.

The SEC was perfect the way that it was before adding TAMU and Mizzou. That was a dumb expansion. Adding Texas would be even more dumb.

You were so glad to be rid of us that your AD muscled Ken Starr into suing the university on your behalf to keep us in the Big XII.
And nobody thinks Texas was "scared" of our move when we made it. Even most Aggies thought we'd suck for a while. What we're saying is your AD is DEFINITELY scared now. Since we beat Alabama, Sumlin is 7-2 in head to head recruiting battles against Texas. Texas lost FIVE commits to SEC schools this year.
If you arent scared at this point then you're turning a blind eye to the reality of the situation. We're another year of A&M succes/Texas failure away from supplanting you as the top ticket in Texas. This is the mid-80s all over again, only this time there is absolutely NOTHING you can do about it other than hope we fall on our face.

That's NOT TRUE. If mean ol' Alabama hadn't hit the Colt illegally, they would have won 30-0!
